The appearance is a primary benefit, there are no unsightly metal braces involved, Invisalign just uses a series of clear aligners which are practically invisible. You don’t have to worry about what you’re eating or drinking either as the aligners can be quickly and easily removed.

Is Invisalign effective for all orthodontic issues?

Invisalign is an incredibly versatile system that can address a wide range of orthodontic concerns. How long does treatment take?

This varies massively depending on a number of factors:

Where your teeth are to start with: If more movement is required this will take more aligners and so more time.
Your compliance with treatment: Invisalign is heavily dependent on your compliance in wearing the aligners. If you don’t wear them for long enough throughout the day your teeth will not move as swiftly and treatment will take longer.
How your teeth respond to the treatment: Some people’s teeth are more stubborn than others for a multitude of reasons. In these cases it is often necessary to wear the aligners for slightly longer to allow sufficient time for the teeth to move.

Are there any additional or hidden charges?

No, our consultation and x-ray charges are completely deducted from the Invisalign treatment cost. We also include any retainers needed (fixed and removable) for after treatment. Additional aligners are also included in the cost.

The only additional charges that may be present would be for additional treatment needed to either stabilise the health of your teeth and gums before the Invisalign starts or cosmetic treatment after the Invisalign

What do I expect after treatment?

Your teeth will always try and return to the position they are currently in. This is because they are in this position for a reason, your body wants them to be in this position.

After treatment we enter something called the retention phase of treatment. You will need to wear retainers nightly to hold the teeth in position and we may also placed a fixed retainer on the back of your teeth to help hold them in position.

Is there an adjustment stage with the Invisalign?

Yes, for the first few days the aligners will feel unusual, you may notice a bit of aching as the teeth start to move and may find your mouth has to adjust its posture around the aligners when speaking for example. This is usually a very quick process and within a week or two your mouth will fully adapt and it will feel unusual to have them out.

Can I eat and drink with Invisalign?

One of the significant advantages of Invisalign is its flexibility when it comes to eating and drinking. Unlike traditional braces that come with dietary restrictions, you can remove your Invisalign aligners before meals. This means you can continue enjoying all your favourite foods without worrying about damaging the aligners. However, it is essential to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing and flossing after every meal and before putting the aligners back in your mouth. Remember that drinking anything other than plain water with the aligners in place might stain or damage them, so it’s best to remove them beforehand.

Retainers: After completing your journey we take a 3d digital scan so that we have a permanent record of your perfect straight smile. From this we will provider you with some complimentary retainers to keep your teeth permanently in position. Our aftercare plan includes free replacement retainers every year to ensure the retainers keep their durability and strength. If you ever lose your retainers we can use this scan to make new replacement retainers within 48 hours.

Check-ups and Cleanings: Our aftercare plan includes your annual check-up and twice yearly hygiene visits. Keeping your teeth straight makes oral hygiene easier and we will ensure your teeth and gums stay healthy.

Emergency Care and treatment: Dental emergencies do happen, all of our aftercare plan patients have the peace of mind of free emergency appointments and discount on any treatment needed.
